Worked at Mitchell Bearing until he was 21, then he did his National Service came back to Mitchell Bearing then went on to work at Vickers on Scotswood Road.
Ronnie had a fall at home on the 3rd of July was seen by a doctor on the 4th after several more visits he was admited to hospital on the 9th July his 51st Birthday he was found to have a broken rib. the broken rib had punctured a lung causing its collapse, that led to broncho-pneumonia which led to my dad passing away. a verdict of accidental death was recorded.

You would have been 72 today HAPPY BIRTHDAY. someone asked me the other day does it get any easier as time goes by, I replied no you never get over loosing someone you love you just have to live with it. all through life we all hear or do things that remind us of a loved one we have lost. you are never forgotten.

Dad never a day goes by when I don't think about you and the things we may have done together ; such simple things like going for a drink together. I'll never forget the night they took you away and you said 'don't worry son I'll see you in the morning' if only that had been true.
I never got to say a final farewell and tell you how much I loved you. I wish I could turn back the clock.
You have missed so much of life like our Angela said, you never saw what become of me, getting married to my beautiful wife Wendy, and have two beautiful daughters Abigail now 13 and Sarah 5. You would have been so proud!

Only yesterday whilst cutting the garden I was thinking of you ,when ironically our Angela left a message 10 minutes later saying she had set up this tribute,thanks Angie!
